Marina Boat Storage

We have two small watercraft marinas. Our downtown location, Brittingham Boats, offers on-shore racks to store canoes, kayaks and SUP's. Wingra Boats offers on-water pier storage of canoes, kayaks, SUPs, rowboats and small sailboats. It is our goal to make boat ownership enjoyable and to make getting out on the water easy. We hope you will consider us for your boats' summer home.

Wingra Marina

Store your boat with us at Lake Wingra for easy access—just bring your paddle and life jacket, and you're all set! Our helpful staff is here to assist you. The marina is open from early May to the third weekend in September, weather permitting.

Brittingham Marina

At Brittingham Boats, enjoy year-round boat storage just steps away from the water. Our team is ready to assist with moving your boat. The racks are conveniently located for easy water access and close to the parking lot, making it simpler to explore other lakes or rivers.

Winter Storage

Opt for convenience with our winter boat storage service. We handle everything from transportation to storage, accomodating canoes, kayaks, SUPs in heated indoor spaces, and rowboats as well as small sailboats in unheated areas. Larger vessels are securely covered and stored outdoors.

Important Things To Know:

  • You are welcome to use your boat outside our business hours (one of the main benefits of renting a marina slip!). Park hours are from 4 am to 10 pm.
  • We are happy to help you get your boat to the water when we are not assisting rental customers.
  • Feel free to take your boat off-site and please kindly inform us so that we’re not concerned about its whereabouts. You’re welcome to lend your boat to others. We assume that if someone knows your combination, they have your permission.
  • Please do not place your boat on the docks or racks without the assistance of our staff. If this is your first year or if you need a refresher, we’re more than happy to provide tips on the easiest way to get your boat in and out of the slip or rack.
  • Please remember to lock up your boat. A 6-8′ bike cable works well. We require combination locks as opposed to key locks, as keys can easily be lost in the water.
  • You’re welcome to customize your spot to better protect or fit your boat, using items like pool noodles or towels. If the spot needs physical alterations due to width or other issues, please inform one of our team members and send us an email so that management can follow up.
